Tôm chọn những con có kích thước vừa, đem bóc sạch vỏ, bỏ chỉ đen. Hành tây bóc vỏ, thái nhỏ múi cau. Cà rốt gọt vỏ, thái lát mỏng rồi thái thành những sợi nhỏ.
Đun nóng 20g bơ, cho hành tây vào đảo đều cho thơm. Thêm cà rốt vào, xào khoảng 15-20 phút. Sau đó thêm 200ml nước vào nồi hành tây, dùng máy xay sinh tố cầm tay xay nhuyễn nguyên liệu trong nồi. Khi nguyên liệu được xay mịn thì thêm vào 250ml sữa tươi và 2 viên gia vị cà ri vào, khuấy đều.
Phi thơm tỏi băm với ít dầu ăn, cho tôm tươi đã bóc vỏ vào đảo đều cho tôm chín thì tắt bếp. Cho tôm vào nồi cà ri, khuấy đều lên là có thể dùng.
