As usual Amazon sells just about everything...
The trash man or someone in the neighborhood absconded with one of my lids. I got tired of pouring rainwater out of the can. This beats drilling holes in a perfectly good can. Fits a "Brute" commercial 32gal can perfectly. It also fit an old Rubbermaid 32gal (brown) home can. I bought 2. The lid(s) I received were different from the picture. There are two patterns shown for the various colors. The pictured one was flat (this is what I had). The one's I got are slightly domed with segmented ridges (the other picture). They are Rubbermaid branded. I guess they changed the design. It's a trash can lid (that fits), so who cares? I mean really, my cans are grey and brown, I bought the green lids because they were cheaper.

Excellent and my Roughneck lids fit
I have about 12 roughneck cans and they are starting to self destruct. A few years ago I had purchased new lids for most of them. Nice roughneck lids which are far superior to the flat lids they sell with the Brute. I bought a couple of these 32 Gallon Brute cans to test if they's accept the roughneck lid. Yes they do, it's a very tight fit and should stay on even better than the lids did on the roughneck can. The can itself is WAY stout which I like. Looks like it will retain it's shape when over stuffed. Very happy with the purchase and am about to order a few more. The only complaint I have is the way they were shipped, even the FedEx driver noticed it. I ordered two, and they put each in a separate giant box. Now I'm stuck with two massive cardboard boxes. What they should have done, is put one inside the other, slapped some tape on to hold them together and put the label on the bottom one. As light as they are, I'd venture to say they could ship 3 as one package that way.

This garbage can is NOT garbage
This is a tough little garbage can. I bought it for doggy poop bags. Before I had this can I would put them into my large curbside bin. I found out pretty quickly that dropping full bags of garbage on top of doggie poop bags does not work out well. So I wanted something specifically for dog poop bags. I did not want a big can because then it would start to smell long before it was full enough to empty. This fit the bill perfectly. Tall kitchen bags fit perfectly. The lid snaps on tightly and keeps out the rain.

Hard-working As A Garden Planter
I'm using this as a container garden for tomatoes and it is working out quite well (I bought 6). Drilling drain holes was easy and did not pose a problem for the integrity of the can. The white plastic reflects the hot sun and the 20-gallon capacity gives plenty of room for root development. The integral handles make for easy relocation, even loaded with soil and a huge tomato plant over 7 feet tall. I'll definitely buy more for other vegetables next growing season. Research currently available on LLDPE shows this plastic to be food-safe, and should be chemically stable in the sun.

Finally - a good garbage can!
Finally! I have been searching for years to find a reliable garbage can. I consistently buy garbage cans that crack and break and I have to attach the ever-dreaded "GARBAGE" sign with Scotch tape to the thing, hoping the garbage men will see it and haul the piece of decrepit junk away, rather than continuing to throw it back into my yard. Not this time! This garbage can is the real deal (and, funny enough, after buying this one, what do I see at nearly every neighbor on my block's driveway the following garbage day? The exact same garbage can! I wonder if they too got fed up with the cans you find in the local department stores and bought this can from Amazon.) I was disappointed that it was only plastic, but it is incredibly durable plastic that holds up against all kinds of weather and no matter what weight you put into it. The one thing I can never figure out, though, is why they don't put little holes on the bottom to let the rain out. These cans are heavy enough as it is without the addition of rainwater, but I guess that would compromise their strength.

It lives to tell
I purchased this for my husband's office/man cave. The room's theme is "industrial site" (biohazard shtick, OSHA compliance signs, safety cones, et cetera) and his predominant color is 'caution' yellow. Initially, I just needed an inexpensive trash can that would match the garish color scheme, but this bin turned out to be pretty awesome! (It's also available in less jolting colors like white and grey). --Size? Because this model is identical in style to the giant-sized garage/curbside bins, the online image may briefly fool you. But it's a 10 gallon container measuring approx 17" H, 15-1/2" diameter (top), 12" diameter (base) w/ 3" long handles. --Sturdy? Yep! It's incredibly durable and thick (nearly commercial grade plastic) and can easily be hosed out and routinely abused. A good thing...since my husband has never used a plastic bag liner in his life; moreover, he considers food stuffs, of any type, to be appropriate for disposal alongside paper items and your more benign household debris. This is convenient for indoor use but ruggedly forgives carrot cake smothered fax cover sheets. --Lid? Nope. However, Rubbermaid Commercial Brute coordinating lids (#2610) are available and we bought one...because (see above) Hubby's trash is our dogs' 2nd breakfast. I'll review the lid separately but it fits nicely/tightly; I'd recommend a lid for use outdoors so as to reduce odor and discourage vermin. My indoor pests, which we just shorten to "pets", are equally stymied. -- Appearance? This won't win any interior design awards but if you've read this far, you're not after frou frou. It's a nice smooth finish w/o plastic-y frayed bits and has fortifying ridges at the base. The can's "Brute" moniker is a way too visible for my taste--tho it does accurately describe its owner on his worst days-- but we've well established my tastes are irrelevant since my husband actually chose 'toxic waste' as part of his his design story. --Balanced? Very! Sturdiness is great and all, but bins are still prone to topple if poorly designed. This container, on carpet, can survive the across-the-room-over-the-coffee-table 3-point shot without tumbling over. Ray Allen would approve! Not in any way as disposable in quality as the trash it holds, if this solid, easy-to-care for, and reasonably priced bin can survive my man's test lab of a man cave, it should last years at your house too. If it was self-emptying, it would be just about perfect. In yellow, at least it'll get emptied once or twice a decade as it's real hard to miss!!

Great for storing/preparing water for aquarium use
Been using these buckets for as long as I can recall. Great for storing/preparing water for aquarium use. Even had my live-bearers in it for a few weeks just to test it didn't have issues as the one I received was scarred on the outside and looked used. Inside was filthy and full of gunk beyond typical dirt. Was worried it may have toxins so tested it out with some guppies and mollies I had. Luckily no issues and now in my rotation with my main tanks. Wouldn't buy from this seller again. Do recommend the product itself highly. Keeps it's rigidity even when full. Great product for us fish lovers. I'm sure it has a dozen other uses. I've also used it to hold live bait when fishing.

To see this at such a great deal I figured why not
For the price of this, it's exactly what I wanted. Shopping at Home Depot or Lowes you can be surprised how much trash containers will cost you. Most are priced very high. To see this at such a great deal I figured why not. It arrived very quickly, and it's very durable. I planned to use it as a backup to my main trash container. After the other review saying how horrible it was I expected not too much but am glad with the purchase as it's the perfect replacement to the one I have similar to it that is extremely beat up and ripped. Good seller, good product! Thanks!

Five Stars for a Trash Barrel?
How much can you love a large blue cycling bin? How much more can you love it over the standard-size recycling bin? You might be surprised. Our family recycles a lot of material. The city-issued bins were overstuffed and had to be balanced when putting them out. I purchased blue storage bins and labeled them recycling. They did not last long. I wondered if they sold them....yes amazon! I have two. Nothing blows out of them! Additionally, when they are dumped in the trucks, there is less spillage. Yes, one can love a recycling bin.
