When my neighbor moved out, he gave me two of his guitars. Both had chased him all over the country and he decided to stick with one guitar instead of having three. The acoustic he gave me is a little (!) Epiphone Dreadnought, the strings of which needed replacement, oh, five years ago. On a lark, I tried out EB Earthwood Lights. Coming from an electric, Earthwood strings on an acoustic deliver a richness I've only heard from guitar and amp setups costing far more than this Epi is worth. When these strings give out, I'll swap them with a fresh set of Earthwoods.

Classic Ernie Ball quality and tradition. Been buying this brand for over 40 years and usually never disappointed. I recently got into stick dulcimers, walk around dulcimers (or strum sticks)... I replaced my strings with these and noticed an improvement in feel and sound. Good quality. Love em!

A set of Ernie Ball acoustic strings, individually packaged in paper envelopes and all contained inside a sealed plastic bag. If you are familiar with guitar strings you know exactly what to expect here; there are no surprises in the packaging. String gauges are: 54, 44, 32, 24, 16, 12. The 16 and 12 are plain wire strings, the other four are phosphor bronze wound. I have a standard-size Dreadnaught style acoustic and I had around 4-6 inches of extra on each string after I put them on, so they have plenty of length. They have a nice bright sound, a little "zingy" when you first put them on but they calm down after a couple of days of play. I will buy these again in the future.

I used to mainly use Elixir PB Nanowebs or Daddario coated or uncoated PBs, but the earthwood pbs really shine on my Gibson & Martin acoustics in an incomparable way. I have like 10 sets of these as backup always. Never changing string brands from now on unless EB changes their formula or I get a new acoustic that demands a different set of strings. From day 1 to day 100, these sound good even though I have very clammy hands. May not work for you, but as for me, these are my favorite strings so far in my entire acoustic playing life. Highly recommended.

These strings are awesome!!! I rescued an old takemine jasmine 12 string guitar that was suffering a slow death, the person who owned it stored it in a hot attic for years when I got it the bridge area had massive belly bulge to the point the bridge was starting to seperate and the back of the bidge measured about 3/8 of an inch above the sound hole after humidifying and clamping the guutar i got rid of the bulge and re glued the bridge back down and installed these light (.009) strings on it and have been playing it daily for 7 mos. The 12 sounds beautiful and looks like new again cant say enough about ernie ball strings they are the only string I use on my guitars and recommend them to everybody Takemine Jasmine Alvarez Yari 6 string Fender strat Gibson Les paul All sound full and beautiful with ernie ball strungs.

As a professional player who is hooked on using my regular Brand, I figured I would give these a try. I am so glad I did because I like them even better. Great tone, can get some great bends and still get the nice low end using the lighter Guage Strings. Absolutely love them and will be using these for now on. Ernie Ball does it again :)

I needed 1 strong for a guitar, so the cheaper the better. I've never had any bad experiences with any string company. These are highly rated and in my price range. I used this brand years ago on my electric guitars so I know there is nothing to worry about. My son is 8 and doesn't play every day so these should last a long time.

They don't have quite the fullness of a heavier string, but still sound pretty decent. Mainly, these strings were a lot easier for me to play transitioning from electric to acoustic guitar. I tried putting light gauge electric guitar strings on my acoustic with horrible results. Terrible sound. I like the lighter gauge because I do a lot of note bending (blues). In the future I'm thinking of mixing sets, to get a better sound as finger strength improves.

Love the way these strings look, but the look isn't the most important part of a guitar string, now is it? These strings sound great, they hold a twangy, brand-new sound for a few days and they start to lose it about a week into playing them. I've seen some people dissatisfied with the strings and how they sound, but I suppose it's how hard you play them. This will be the only strings I buy for my acoustic now. Cheap, sound great, look great, and they last quite a while.

These are the best acoustic guitar strings I've ever used. They are just bendable enough without being sloppy sounding. They have a very warm tone and excellent playability. They also keep a bright tone for a long period of time without getting dull. These are the only acoustic guitar strings I will buy.
